Wanda Hancock
1927 - 2020
Outstanding mother, wife, grandmother and friend!
Please accept this as a remembrance of her life.
Wanda was born in Greensboro, North Carolina (yes, that is where the southern accent comes from...) and married Lindsay in 1946. From there she followed his career moving to Maryland, Rhode Island and finally for the last 30 years, Hudson New Hampshire. In the early years, she was a busy wife and mother, but later after moving to New Hampshire, she would become very active in the Hudson Lion's Club as well as a member of the church choir at Nashua United Methodist Church. She even joined the Nashua Silver Linings Chorus group at the age of 85 and was able to enjoy visiting the local assisted living facilities in the Nashua area with songs of cheer at Christmas time!
Music was such a large part of her life.
Forever in our hearts, she will be remembered every day.....

Good Silver
Lyrics
We all know, indeed no man's an island
And it’s long way from Penzance 'cross the sea
So come, whether peasant, king, or pirate
Be sure to eat your fill before you leave
She'll kiss your hand and bring you to the table
Pull up a chair next to noblemen gone wrong
So come, find your shelter 'neath the rainbow
Feel free to turn a key and sing along
Here you'll find more food than all of Zion
A cornucopia display
Her voice will lift you high above the lions
Just let the silver lining lead the way
Pass your plate as if it were a lantern
For all this dining wear is far from new
If we drop the china, it will shatter
But that good old silver's holding true
Here you'll find more food than all of Zion
A cornucopia display
Her voice will lift you high above the lions
Just let the silver lining lead the way
A song inspired by the legacy of Wanda Hancock
